Welcome to Honolulu Waldorf High School’s Foreign Exchange and Foreign Study Program, an outgrowth of our Foreign Language Program, which encourages currently enrolled Waldorf students from abroad to experience part of an academic year between three to five months in Hawai’i. Students can participate in this program starting in Grade 10 at the Honolulu Waldorf School.
The primary focus is to enhance complete foreign language immersion and cultural learning opportunities in real-life settings through daily interaction with a Honolulu host family, school, and local cultural activities.
Waldorf students from abroad interested in attending Honolulu Waldorf School must have proficiency in English, be in good academic and social standing, have a certain maturity, independence, excellent behavior, and a flexible attitude. This school is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant students.
