Tastes and Treasures 2013

The evening's entertainment includes HWS graduate Taimane Gardner!

Honolulu Waldorf School will be holding its annual Tastes and Treasures Gala “Masquerade Ball” on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Ko`olau Ballrooms. Guests will enjoy a savory dining experience, an array of silent and live auction items including some wonderfully unique pieces created by our students, and a wonderful evening of dance and entertainment. Guests are encouraged to dress in theme and prizes will be awarded for best masquerade ensemble. Masks will be available for sale in our “fund a need” section. We invite you to join us in support by purchasing a table at one of our sponsorship levels.

Tastes & Treasures is undertaken by the parent community in support of the school. Like all independent schools, we rely on financial support from inside and outside the school community. The money raised at our event allows the Honolulu Waldorf School to educate students in the Morning Nursery program through Grade 12. This is made possible largely through donations from local businesses, organizations and people just like you!

We appreciate your consideration in helping us to reach our goal. We are grateful to our generous donors and are proud to acknowledge your contribution in our annual report and other printed materials, on our website and at the event itself. Your gift truly enriches lives.

If you have any questions about sponsoring our event, please call Angie Golis-Yamamoto, Director of Development at 808-792-4554 or email TnT@honoluluwaldorf.org.

Auction Items

Here's a sampling of some of the goods, services and works that will be up for auction on Saturday night

6th Grade Stained Glass Honu

The curriculum of the sixth grade takes us back to the Middle Ages, to the Magnificent Gothic Cathedrals with their picturesque stain glass panels. In this project the sixth graders have created a stain glass window of the Honu in his natural environment. Vibrant blues and greens adorn this beautiful masterpiece. A perfect addition to any hale.

11th Grade "Slaves"

A dozen healthy 11th graders are available for a day of work. Up for any task: removing rocks from a field, scrubbing garage floors, carrying building stones, whatever a person would want, they will work hard!
